OPTRA’s two-band IR Thermographer
was developed for the U.S. Marine Corps to provide accurate absolute
measurement of skin temperature of personnel exposed to directed energy
non-lethal weapons. This system employs a novel
spectro-radiometric technique to extract temperature information
regardless of weather condition. Measurement accuracy is ±2.5ºC
at a standoff range of up to 700 m and an update rate of 15 Hz.
|
The system includes an on-axis, wide field of view visible
imager. The temperature information is conveyed with a false
color image that is fused with the visible image with user defined
transparency level. The system measures 6×6×18-inches and weighs
less than 7 lbs.
